报告摘要:
After many complains around the word for the atmospheric pollution by merchant ships and the delay in accomplishing with the International Treaty MARPOL Annex Vl, the International Maritime Organization (lMO), has defined an Strategy to reduce to zero the pollution from ships, to the year 2050. How could be possible to obtain such results in just 25 years? The answer seems to be in a joint effort from scientific research,technological advances and administrative measures that bring to the shipping industry to reach those incredible levels of maximum efficiency, In this conference we will see the path to get it, through the four steps of the Green Voyage 2050 lMO implementation working plan, that should bring us to obtain such results. The lecture Will shows at the end the advances made in Latin American countries over this proposal so we can have a real perspective against the watch to analyze if the world would be really prepared by the 2050, it would be necessary to redesign the plan with a most precise scope. All this within the framework of UN policies like SDG and BBNJ, that are vectors pushing some other sides of the polygon.

报告人简介:Julian Augusto Reyna,2018-2019学年及2022年至今担任太平洋大学海洋与环境学院院长;曾担任哥伦比亚海洋委员会执行秘书、海洋科学研究中心主任和国家水文服务主管;哥伦比亚国家政府海洋与海岸事务顾问,南太平洋常设委员会(2014-2018)秘书长;负责协调东南太平洋地区(智利、哥伦比亚、厄瓜多尔和秘鲁)海事政策,如国家管辖范围以外区域的生物多样性保护(BBNJ);第二十七次厄瓜多尔南极考察队(2024年1月至2月)科研人员。
